Lottery systems: VEW lottery partial systems and full lottery systems

What does system play mean? From the 49 numbers, more than the usual 6 numbers are ticked: 7, 8, 9 or more. Lottery with a system: this increases your chance of a win accordingly.

Which official full systems and VEW systems exist at all? The following table shows all VEW partial systems and full lottery systems currently available in Germany. You can also check all systems directly for wins; the prize amounts of the last 10 draws are automatically taken into account. Standard tickets can also be evaluated with us. If you have further questions, please see the FAQ list.

Full system or VEW system? In the full lottery system all possible combinations of 6 numbers are formed from the predictions. These systems are designed so that when six numbers are correctly predicted, the corresponding prize tier is also achieved. However, these systems come at a price. For example, in the Full system 007 with 7 system numbers there are exactly 7 fields; with 9 predictions there are 84 combinations = 84 plays, and with system 015 (15 numbers) there are already 5005 lines. Clearly, in case of a win, the yield is relatively large. In the VEW system (“Verkürzte Engere Wahl”, also called a partial system) not all possible combinations are formed. The plays are selected to guarantee a certain number of wins. Here, for example, with 9 predictions there are only 12 combinations = 12 plays. Assuming that with your VEW system, e.g., VEW 710, you have 6 correct numbers, then you either actually have a 6-hit, 6 x 4-hits and 8 x 3-hits, or in the worst case only 12 x 4-hits. To determine this, the numbers must be evaluated with the win pattern (also called “knitting pattern” or “cross-roll pattern”), see below using VEW 609 as an example. It is much more convenient to do this online directly on the linked system pages.

12) 16 26 28 29 39 42

And where is the catch? Of course, it sounds good to play with a smaller stake. The problem with VEW systems lies precisely in the fact that the relative probability, in the case of 6 correctly predicted numbers, of also winning a jackpot (6-hit) is very low. For example, in a VEW 710 system, this probability is only 7.1%!

Is there anything good about VEW lottery systems?
Absolutely! If among the selected system numbers 3 numbers are correct, then there is at least one three-hit. Convince yourself: Choose from the 9 given system numbers (11 14 16 26 28 29 39 42 47) any 3 numbers and compare them with the VEW609 pattern in the image (or, even more conveniently: directly with the lines in the table). Amazing but true: you will always find at least one combination (line) in which all three numbers appear, which in a normal game corresponds to a win. And this regardless of which numbers you chose! The guarantee level “3outof3” is therefore fully met.

How many numbers should be ticked – which system to choose?
This is a very good question! To answer it plausibly, it is best to use probability theory. Mathematicians can calculate the expected value of a similar task, e.g., “how many lottery balls out of a total of 49 should one draw on average to draw the third correct from the already known 6 correct ones”. We are of course no longer talking about guaranteed systems (see below), but rather about how many system numbers a system should have in order to “catch” exactly those 3 correct numbers on average after a few hundreds or thousands of draws. These expected values are:
EX = approx. 7.14 for 1 correct number (therefore 0 correct is more likely in Lotto 6 out of 49),
EX = approx. 14.29 for 2 correct numbers,
EX = approx. 21.43 for 3 correct numbers,
EX = approx. 28.57 for 4 correct numbers,
EX = approx. 35.71 for 5 correct numbers,
EX = approx. 42.86 for 6 correct numbers.
Unlike the guaranteed systems already mentioned, these values are only mathematical estimates. It may well happen that even with a VEW 622 partial system, which is known to include 22 system numbers, you win nothing if there are no 3 correct numbers among the system numbers. Here you will find further details on the calculations of lottery probabilities.

What does “3outof3” guarantee (“3outof4” and “3outof5”) mean?
The 3-hit guarantee means that this system guarantees AT LEAST one three-hit as a win. (Three-hit as a win with 3, 4 or 5 correctly predicted winning numbers). Accordingly, “3outof4” means at least a three-hit in the case of 4 correctly predicted system numbers, etc. The lowest stakes are achieved with a system with a “3outof5” (“3outof6”) guarantee performance. So you should find a compromise between the number of system numbers and the stake!

Guarantee performance “3outof3”: With four, five or six correct winning numbers, due to the strong line reduction, 4, 5 or 6 hits cannot be guaranteed. Nevertheless, higher hits are quite possible and, especially with systems with fewer than 28 numbers, the chances are relatively good. And you can always count on the following minimum wins in all “3outof3” systems:

- With 4 hits you receive at least 4 three-hits ( n = 4, k = 3 )
- With 5 hits you receive at least 10 three-hits ( n = 5, k = 3 )
- With 6 hits you receive at least 20 three-hits ( n = 6, k = 3 )
Combinations

Surplus In Germany, you get about €10 for a three-hit (the highest and lowest three-hit payouts can be found here). As a minimum win with 4 hits you can already count on €40, with 5 hits on €100 and with 6 hits on €200. As said: minimum! Furthermore, you could also hit the jackpot — why not?
That’s why you play the lottery, right?

“What is meant by the win guarantee? Am I already a millionaire? That should be the case if I ALWAYS win!”
No, you are not... For example, the 3-hit guarantee means that this system guarantees AT LEAST one three-hit in all cases. A guaranteed system is thus a system with 49 system numbers and a “3outof6” guarantee performance. This does not refer to your stakes! To become rich, your winnings must be (significantly) higher than your expenses. That is not what is meant here. We are not magicians either! If the stake tends to zero, you will ultimately inevitably become a winner! How this works can be read under Freebies.

So again a rip-off and nothing new...
No, it’s not like that! We have shown the advantages that system play brings. Our program offers more than 100 systems to choose from. Under System play you will find 2 systems with 49 system numbers and a “3outof6” guarantee, with which you will always be on the winners’ list! Our in-house development “All 49 numbers in only 176 lines” even allows you to play conveniently on system tickets. You can also pull off a cool gag with these systems with a “guaranteed lottery win”!

Our systems in the program There is only a small number of VEW systems that are officially offered in Germany (see the table above). The following table shows systems that are already integrated in the MELM program. Practically all possible variations are available! As already mentioned under System play, we do not claim any rights to these systems; most of them have been collected from open sources.

Creation of unique lottery systems This program allows you to create your own systems based on all VEW and guaranteed systems: By activating the “Unsorted” button you can generate your own guaranteed system! With this, the order of the system numbers plays a decisive role in the case of the activated “Unsorted” button! In conventional VEW systems the numbers are always sorted, which for the first 6 ticked system numbers often results in the commonly played combination 01 02 03 04 05 06. This keeps the prize payouts at a reasonable level in the event of a win.
